Position Description

Position Summary

These positions care for one or more of the following in the Res Halls and Central Campus during the school year.
The areas include, but are not limited to:
1. Cleaning
a. Rest Rooms
b. Halls
c. Stairs
d. Lounges
e. Classrooms
f. Labs
g. Food Prep Areas
h. Dining areas
2. Trash/recycling removal
3. Event preparation (Set Up/Tear Down)

Dress Code Requirements

Jeans or Modest shorts, closed toed shoes
No Pajamas, Yoga pants or Sweat pants

Special Working Conditions

1. Regular workday usually 1 to 2.5 hours/day with regular weekend shifts.
2. Some positions are M-F, S-Th, Sun-Sat or M-Sat
3. Must possess full range of physical motion and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time as demanded by cleaning/event set-up tasks.
4. Some positions must work the night before classes start.
5.Work schedules are arranged around class schedules
6. Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals.

Primary Duties

1. Clean all campus buildings for class and group usage. This may include the use of various cleaning equipment such as upright or back pack vacuums and other cleaning machines.
2. Follow standard cleaning procedures and an outline of work as determined by the Building Coordinator.
3. Remove trash and recycling.
4. Pick up litter in work area.
5. Possibly complete set ups and tear downs for events; may move furniture.
6. Weekend work is frequently a requirement of Campus Events jobs.
7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance

Secondary Duties

1. Collect lost and found items.
2. Substitute for workers in other positions
3. Other duties as assigned
