Position Description

Position Summary

This position assists in the processing of student inquiries made to Messiah College. This position also assists in taking requests for information and provides support for the Data Entry and Transcript Processor by assisting with the processing of transcripts when needed.

Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred

Microsoft Office Certification preferred

Experience Required

Microsoft Office Certification;imaging, data entry and Banner experience

Primary Duties

1. Process paper and electronic inquiries from mail, phone, email, counselor visits, 3rd party sources, Open House registrations and campus visits. Including updating address of returned mail.
2. Assist other Admissions Office clerical staff in responding to public inquires received over the telephone.
3. Process bulk lists of inquiries via Excel and Data Transfer software
4. Maintain basic knowledge of Messiah College admissions process and the College community and as such answer routine questions submitted by students and their parents.
5. Perform secretarial and general office duties in support of the ACS Office processes.
6. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Secondary Duties

1. Maintain a working knowledge of the application data entry process so as to be able to assist as needed
2. Assist in maintaining, updating, recording, scanning and processing the files/transcripts of students applying for admissions via both electronic and paper processes.
3. Other duties as assigned.
