Position Description

Position Summary

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, in the School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah College, invites applications for part-time/adjunct faculty positions.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate chemistry lecture or laboratory classes on an as-needed basis. Particular needs are in first-year chemistry courses for science majors, physical science courses for education majors, introductory organic chemistry and environmental chemistry.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in chemistry or science education, or significant experience in the area relevant to the course that will be taught. Candidates must possess the potential for strong classroom teaching and positive student interaction and mentorship.

Messiah College’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers B.A. and B.S. Degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, as well as a B.A. in Chemistry with Secondary Teaching Certification.
